New Holistically Haute? Daily Fitness Check-In Facebook Group?You Are All Invited!

I recently mentioned that I’m taking part in my friend Andrina?s Wholelicious 40 Day Yoga Challenge on Facebook. I was already doing quite well with practicing yoga several times a week whether it was in the studio or at home with a DVD, but I’ll admit that there are times when I just didn’t feel like it after a busy day?or busy few days?and then the next time I went to practice I found that I was quite stiff.
I signed on to the challenge because, well, I love a challenge for one thing.
But also because I like that I can check in every day and be part of a group who is all going through the same challenge, and Andrina checks in with us every day to see how we are doing and offer her support. I am proud to say that we are now more than halfway through and I have been able to do yoga, whether it is a few brief sun salutations or a long practice, every day for the last 24 days (Hurricane Sandy didn’t even stop me)! I feel amazing mentally and physically?and spiritually as well. I feel like I’ve had a whole awakening and have really become inspired.
This week I met with some clients who all expressed that they wanted to exercise more, and had the tools available to them to exercise, but felt like they needed more accountability. Since I have responded so well and benefited so much from Andrina?s group challenge, I’ve decided to create a Facebook group of my own to offer my clients, as well as my readers the same opportunity to get support and accountability for daily fitness.
This is not exclusive to yoga?it is all inclusive in terms of physical activity. It can be anything from 20 jumping jacks or a brisk walk around the block to a Zumba class or martial arts lesson or weight lifting workout?the sky?s the limit! The point is to just do something on a daily basis to get your body moving and your heart pumping.
You can join the group HERE, and check in daily to let us know what you’ve done to get your fitness in for the day. I will moderate the group daily, and you will all have the opportunity to meet others who want to commit to doing something physical every day, and hold yourselves and each other accountable.
